Worthing Medical Group is an innovative GP practice and we recognise that we are a product of the
talent and hard work of all our staff. We have a multi-skilled healthcare team and dedicated and
hardworking support staff and managers.
As a practice we believe in transparency: we work hard to give our patients the best possible
service and we listen to your feedback. We think its only fair to publish our performance and the
results of the patient surveys we undertake. We aim to keep our patients informed and also publish
regular newsletters. (More information and our submission under the NHS Publication Scheme)
Confidentiality
Your records are strictly confidential to you - we will not share them with anyone - even your close
relatives/parents/children without your consent. This provides you with a high degree of privacy but
it does mean that if you do want your carer / parents / spouse / children to be able to access and
discuss information on your behalf then you will need to supply written consent.
Unless you give consent to share information your doctor (and other members of the team including
recptionists and prescription staff) could not / will not discuss with anyone else:
- why they saw you for an appointment (or even if they saw you)
- if you are on any medicines/drugs or what they are
- any test results
Confidentiality is quite complicated and if you would like to know more the General Medical Council
offer a good explanation and also additional information for children and young people.

We have redesigned our appointment system so you can
see your doctor more easily and also get appointments
quickly through our Rapid Access Clinics.
